Can I just tell you a super fast story about our grill? We’ve had it for 4 years now and it’s paid for itself about 2000x over. That isn’t hard to do when it only cost $10, which is probably exactly why I’m so happy with it!
After we got married, we had a few loaner grills but neither of them were ours and neither of them were exactly what we wanted. The first was an ultra portable teeny gas grill that pretty much charred everything due to super direct heat and the second was one of those eensy weensy charcoal grills that fits a max of 4 hamburgers. While both were awesome and we were grateful for both while we had them, we had been looking for a bit of an upgrade!
Well, Kev was doing some Craiglist browsing one day and came across a 6 burner Char-Broil gas grill and sent it to me. I just laughed because, you know, something that huge selling for next to no money usually doesn’t have the best chance of working. Fast forward 24 hours and we’re scrubbing down the grates and setting the grill up on patio and hooking up the full propane tank (which came with it too), and then the moment of truth….. we lit it and it worked! It seriously worked!! Any guesses on what we paid?? Ten dollars. Ten freaking dollars for a massive, fully functioning grill complete with propane tank.
That’s my grill story. And, I’d like to dedicate this post to the rich lady who had no idea how much her sale (donation) meant to us young newlyweds.
Ok. Time to talk burgers!
All of the burger recipes i’ve published on Kitschen Cat are basically an entire meal. You won’t find any burger recipes on my site where the patty consists of just meat and salt and pepper. Maybe that’s the purist way, but I’m more into the lets chop/mince/grate everything up and throw it straight into the patty.
It makes the burger so moist, juicy, delicious, and flavor packed. Then, the best part is, you still get to put more toppings on top of the actual patty! Yes please!
These simply delicious turkey burgers are packed with sharp sharp sharp cheddar cheese, spicy jalapeño, and tangy sweet granny smith apple shreds. It really doesn’t get much better than this!
