Snap Kitchen is making healthy eating easy, convenient, and tasty!

Yesterday morning I took a trip to my local Snap Kitchen, a one stop healthy meal shop that has breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snack, and drink options that are locally prepared by hand and cooked in neighborhood kitchens. Sounds too good to be true, right?? I had driven by the Snap Kitchen up the road from me dozens of times but had never stopped in until now – I’m so glad I did!

When I walked into the brightly lit and colorful store, I immediately noticed that everything was so well labeled and organized. That might be my Type A brain at work, but it’s so important to be able to find things quickly and easily, especially when you only have a few minutes to stock up on some meals for the week! As you know, I’m a huge advocate for cooking at home as much as possible, but sometimes there are days or weeks when it’s just not possible. When those times hit, Snap Kitchen is a great option! All of their meals are fresh and healthy and if you’re on a special diet (Dairy Free, Paleo, Vegan, Whole 30, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Etc…), the food is all labeled accordingly.

To help their customers quickly find what they need, all of the food is organized in a couple different ways. First, it’s lined up under large banner categories like breakfast, seafood, salads, etc. Then, below each individual product you’ll see a label that tells you what you’re getting, the price, and which dietary categories it falls into. Then, going even further, if you pick up an item you’re interested in, the label on the packaging lists all ingredients in the dish, nutritional information in an easy to read font, and size! Many of the dishes come in small, medium, and large, so if you’re feeding a family or you just want some leftovers, you can buy bigger sizes.

Let’s move onto the actual food! As you’re probably aware, pre-packaged food doesn’t always look, smell, or taste the best. The food at Snap Kitchen is a complete anomaly to that issue! I picked up 6 of their entrees and made sure to try a couple of their most popular items (the bison & quinoa hash and the spaghetti turkey bolognese). The flavors, the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and the convenient and reusable packaging was all really impressive. Kevin ate the Bison and Quinoa Hash last night and said, “This tastes like something you made!” Both of us are impartial to homemade cooking, but neither of us would have replaced any of these meals with one of my go-to dinners – that’s just how good they are!

We’re headed off to Florida this evening for a surprise bday trip for Kev and as you might have seen on Instagram last week, we just got back Las Vegas! So, combined with Christmas travels, we haven’t spent much time at home this last month. I was concerned looking at our schedule that we would fall into the trap of unhealthy eating due to lack of time and constantly being on the go. Thankfully, we’ve been able to maintain a pretty healthy diet with protein smoothies in the morning, soup or salads for lunch, and this past week, these Snap Kitchen meals for dinner! It’s a great option for those times when you need a break from cooking, but you still want to be putting good food into your body.

    1. Both were amazing! My husband opted for the Bison and Quinoa hash and I had the Dan Dan noodles, but we both tried each other’s and agreed that we would gladly eat them anyday 🙂
