You’ll see me, you’ll see some cats, and you’ll learn how to make a super simple, 10 ingredient soup using some basic pantry items. Really, what more do you need??

10 Ingredient White Bean Soup

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1 cup onion
  • 2 large carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 8 cups chicken broth (affiliate)
  • 2 cans cannellini or great northern beans
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup half and half

Instructions

  1. Chop bacon into ½ inch pieces and fry until crispy in large stockpot. Remove bacon and leave ¼ cup bacon grease in the pot.
  2. Add chopped onion, chopped carrots, and minced garlic to pot. Saute on medium heat until veggies are soft. Add chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  3. Drain beans and add to stock pot along with all spices. Add half and half and add bacon back into pot. Stir and serve immediately!
