Let’s welcome the new year with some festive Apple Cider Mules – non-alcoholic option as well!
Now that we’re post Christmas can we gently move on past eggnogs and warm hot cocoa to something a bit more fancy smancy for the new year? Maybe something you could serve at your NYE party?? Or, by all means, leave the alcohol out and pour it in a fancy glass and serve it to your family for a special end of the year treat!
These mugs from Moscow Muled are just BEAUTIFUL, aren’t they? I’m in love with the design of the copper and those delicate handles and frankly don’t feel like using any other cups these days. Each one is 100% copper and lined with high-grade nickel, which is so important to your health and also helps the longevity of your mug. They hold in the cold so well and keep your drinks chilled to the bone. I even stuck my Apple Cider Mule in the freezer for about an hour and it turned into an icy slushy consistency. SO refreshing.
Sooo how was everyone’s Christmas? Are you sitting around wondering where to put your new gifts? Kev and I have a rule that anytime we bring something new into our house we have to get rid of that same amount of items plus one. So, that way our house never becomes overrun with stuff and if we follow through every time a new item comes in, we’ll never have to do a giant purge. So, practically, how does this work? We almost always have a box in the back of our car or a bag sitting by the door ready to take to the thrift store next time we go. Then, every time we come across an item we don’t need or want anymore, it goes straight in the box. When the box is full, it all gets taken away! We’re coming home with a small pile of new presents this year, but I’m already thinking about what we can give away or sell. It’s actually one of my favorite things to do, especially as we turn the page and step into a new year. It just feels good!
Happy almost new year, friends!
I was first introduced to Sidral Mundet (apple soda) in Mexico, but now I can buy it at my local grocery store! If you don’t see it, if you have a local hispanic grocer, they should sell it. **If you want to make this recipe without the alcohol, just leave out the vodka and add a bit more soda.
