Yesterday I decided I needed to get my act together in the music department since I spend about 90% of my day at home and I need to calm it down with the amount of my time I spent talking to the cats. I’m a bit obsessed with musicals for those of you who don’t know… When I was still in high school, I remember writing down a list of every musical I’ve ever seen and my count was around 60. I’m guessing it would be up to 80ish now!!
Anyways, my goal yesterday was to create a Spotify playlist with all my favorite musicals because sometimes I’ll go years and completely forget about a certain show and then I’ll stumble across it and listen to it until I start having nightmares of being on-Broadway and being pushed out onto stage but not knowing any of my lines and it all goes downhill from there! Andd I know that was a terrible run-on sentence, mom…
Point being, I made a massive Spotify playlist yesterday with 25 solid hours of musical goodness. I’m not sure if that made my situation better or worse though… now it’s not only me talking to the cats, it’s me talking to the cats intermixed with random showtunes outbursts. Someone help me.
This post is going to blow some of you away. I went 23 years without ever ordering a hamburger at a restaurant and during that time I also always complained when I had to eat them at home. The last 2 years things have changed. I took baby steps and started eating super thin burgers and now look at me! Not only am I eating big fat hamburgers, I’m making them at home!! Again, someone help me. Something must be wrong.
This burger recipe is my very favorite and I’d be content to make this a weekly trend. They only take 5 minutes to assemble and then 10-15 to cook, depending on how done you like them! I love adding the tiny bits of chopped onion and spinach to the hamburger because it gives such amazing flavors to the meat and squeezes some extra veggies in your diet. The juiciness that’s brought to the table by the shredded cheese throughout the burger is also completely amazing. It’s nothing fancy, but it just works so well.
For all my non-Texas friends who are still trying to kick winter out the door and move on to outdoor barbecuing and picnics, I hope these get you excited!! Warm summer nights are coming, I promise, and when they do, please please please tell me you’ll indulge in a big, juicy burger!
