Liven up your morning routine with this honey glazed cereal crusted French Toast!
How’s everyone doing? I’m seeing all the back to school photos on social media this morning and am guessing it’s been a whirlwind for most everyone these days! I only have cat children (who don’t and never will be attending school), so I haven’t yet had to battle the going back to school game. I’ve heard that it’s a marathon of getting school supplies, adjusting sleep schedules, packing lunches, and trying to maintain some sense of sanity while doing it! I anticipate that breakfast often becomes a bowl of cereal or a granola bar as your child runs out the door to catch the bus because there’s just not enough time in your morning.
I love cereal in the mornings, but we hardly ever have it on hand because then we just end up eating it as a snack throughout the day, as dessert, and any other time we go searching for something in cupboard. If I do buy cereal though, it’s usually a healthy granola or a yummy box of Honey Bunches of Oats®.
Okay, back to this french toast. It’s a breeze to prepare and your kids will LOVE adding this to their normal morning routine. It will bulk up their breakfast and tide them over until lunchtime. Also, because the cereal is sweetened with honey, I love leaving maple syrup out of this breakfast and instead drizzling a little fresh honey on top!
If you’re looking for a breakfast that you can get on your table in less than 10 minutes with less than 10 ingredients, I think you’ll love this one! As always, don’t forget to share on social media and leave comments below with questions as well as just letting us know if you make it!Print
